# Visa OUSD integration

Visa operates a global digital-payments [network](https://openusd.dev/guides/concepts/#network) connecting businesses, consumers and financial institutions. Its Visa [Stablecoin](https://openusd.dev/guides/concepts/#stablecoin) Platform (VSP) brings OUSD and [wallet](https://openusd.dev/guides/concepts/#wallets-and-custody) operations into institutional treasury and settlement workflows. ## Holding OUSD

VSP supports OUSD balances for selected institutional clients in beta. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

Start through your Visa representative, then connect bank accounts and configure users and approvals. Use the portal to manage OUSD holdings within the limits agreed for your business. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

Geographic and volume limits apply. Confirm the OUSD network and funding instructions for your account before depositing. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

## Sending payouts from OUSD

VSP supports OUSD transfers; the wallet arrangement determines where they are executed. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

With Visa Wallet-as-a-Service, configure permitted destinations and approval roles before transferring through VSP. With Bring Your Own Wallet, carry out ongoing transfers through your existing wallet provider. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

Confirm the destination, OUSD network and beta volume limits with Visa. VSP’s general network list is not an operation-by-operation OUSD support matrix. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

## Minting and redeeming OUSD

Eligible VSP clients can mint and redeem OUSD through the portal. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

Obtain the account’s dedicated virtual-account instructions for ACH or wire funding. For redemption, use the linked bank account and approved off-ramp instructions. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

Arrange onboarding and bank-account controls with Visa first. These beta flows remain subject to your approved geography and volume. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

## Creating OUSD wallets

VSP offers Wallet-as-a-Service or a connection to your existing wallet provider. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

For the Visa-managed stack, onboard through Visa and configure users, linked bank accounts and policies. For an existing wallet, agree the connection and on/off-ramp setup with your representative. [\[1\]](https://corporate.visa.com/en/sites/visa-perspectives/newsroom/visa-stablecoin-platform.html)

Access requires a Visa Access ID and Visa-issued Business Identification (BID) number. Wallet-as-a-Service is currently offered alongside beta OUSD access. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

## Managing OUSD custody

Visa supplies key-management technology for Wallet-as-a-Service; the client remains its own custodian. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

Configure destination allowlists, dual approval and passkey signing in the Visa wallet model. With your existing wallet provider, retain its custody arrangement and confirm which controls apply. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

[General workflow: Managing OUSD custody](https://openusd.dev/guides/custody-ousd/)

## Accessing APIs

The VSP portal and documentation are available; API access is still described as coming soon. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)

Ask your representative for specifications and timing before planning an automated integration. No public release date or self-service API access is established by the product page. [\[2\]](https://www.visa.com/en-us/products/visa-stablecoin-platform)
