Visa OUSD integration

Visa operates a global digital-payments network connecting businesses, consumers and financial institutions. Its Visa Stablecoin Platform (VSP) brings OUSD and wallet operations into institutional treasury and settlement workflows. [1]

Holding OUSD

VSP supports OUSD balances for selected institutional clients in beta. [1]

Start through your Visa representative, then connect bank accounts and configure users and approvals. Use the portal to manage OUSD holdings within the limits agreed for your business. [1]

Geographic and volume limits apply. Confirm the OUSD network and funding instructions for your account before depositing. [2]

Sending payouts from OUSD

VSP supports OUSD transfers; the wallet arrangement determines where they are executed. [1]

With Visa Wallet-as-a-Service, configure permitted destinations and approval roles before transferring through VSP. With Bring Your Own Wallet, carry out ongoing transfers through your existing wallet provider. [2]

Confirm the destination, OUSD network and beta volume limits with Visa. VSP’s general network list is not an operation-by-operation OUSD support matrix. [2]

Minting and redeeming OUSD

Eligible VSP clients can mint and redeem OUSD through the portal. [1]

Obtain the account’s dedicated virtual-account instructions for ACH or wire funding. For redemption, use the linked bank account and approved off-ramp instructions. [2]

Arrange onboarding and bank-account controls with Visa first. These beta flows remain subject to your approved geography and volume. [1]

Creating OUSD wallets

VSP offers Wallet-as-a-Service or a connection to your existing wallet provider. [2]

For the Visa-managed stack, onboard through Visa and configure users, linked bank accounts and policies. For an existing wallet, agree the connection and on/off-ramp setup with your representative. [1]

Access requires a Visa Access ID and Visa-issued Business Identification (BID) number. Wallet-as-a-Service is currently offered alongside beta OUSD access. [2]

Managing OUSD custody

Visa supplies key-management technology for Wallet-as-a-Service; the client remains its own custodian. [2]

Configure destination allowlists, dual approval and passkey signing in the Visa wallet model. With your existing wallet provider, retain its custody arrangement and confirm which controls apply. [2]

Accessing APIs

The VSP portal and documentation are available; API access is still described as coming soon. [2]

Ask your representative for specifications and timing before planning an automated integration. No public release date or self-service API access is established by the product page. [2]
